The 2023 RAM 2500 is a seriously heavy-duty pickup truck with a staggering ten tons of towing force. With excellent suspension and visibility features, the latest 2500 is a truck built for challenging off-road adventures, everyday cargo-carrying tasks, and family outings into town alike. The interior is roomy and packed to the rafters with technological driver-assist functionality. Here are five good reasons you’re certain to love the 2023 iteration of the RAM 2500.
Terrific Towing Power
The RAM 2500’s 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel 16 engine delivers 850 lb-ft of torque, enough for 19,980 pounds of maximum towing capacity. That’s enough to tow even large sailboats. And a bevy of sophisticated towing-assist features makes any pulling task even easier.
The intuitive Trailer Reverse Steering Control feature gives you greater control over whatever you’re towing when reversing, while the Class-Exclusive Auto-Level Rear Air Suspension and Class-Exclusive Link Coil Rear Suspension allow for easier hitching and control on the road. You also have Trailer Brake Status, Trailer Light Check, Tow Specific Navigation, Trailer Tire Pressure Monitoring, and even telescopic trailer mirrors below each window mirror. With the RAM 2500, towing tasks become a breeze.
Two Tons of Cargo Capacity
The RAM 2500 also has a maximum gas payload of 4,000 pounds in the cargo bed. Whether you’re carrying waterskis, motorbikes, camping supplies, bricks, sand, or stacks of gym barbells, you’ll be hard-pressed to reach your truck’s maximum cargo capacity.
Off-Roading Made Easy
The RAM 2500 is an off-roader’s dream. With optional Bilstein Gas-Charged Monotube Shocks holding your tires to any road surface, you can maintain multi-wheel traction on even the roughest of terrain. An electronic front sway bar for maximum axle articulation further enhances the ease of off-roading, as do sturdy front and rear locking differentials.
Adaptive Forward Lighting System
Driving after dark is also made safer with the 2500’s available Adaptive Forward Lighting System. These powerful long-lasting LED headlights can swivel up to 15 degrees, allowing for a greater scope and accuracy of lighting.
Upgraded Digital Rearview Mirror
The Digital Rearview Mirror easily switches to show a real-time video stream from a rear-facing camera at the back of your truck any time you need a better view of what’s behind you. A new addition has also been made to the rearview mirror: two viewpoints from cameras on the left and right of your trailer. You can even activate Tow Mode on the mirror for a view from the very back of your trailer.
