Nothing fills us all up quite like pizza, so if you’re on the hunt for the best pizza near us here in Pittsburg, TX, we’d like to help. There are quite a few places worth trying out in our general area.
Duran’s Italian Pizza and Pasta
Head over to 903 N Greer Blvd for the best Italian pizza you’ll ever eat. Duran’s is open from 11am until 9pm every day of the week, and you can give them a call at (903) 708-7090 if you want to order ahead for takeout.
We recommend you try their chicken Alfredo specialty pizza, but you can always build your own, of course, and really make it yours. Their meat lover’s is also great, and you’ll have a hard time resisting their subs, stromboli, and dessert, too. Try the cannolis!
Venice Pizza
At 703 Linda Dr. in Daingerfield, TX, you’ll find this great spot for a date night. They’re open from 11am until 9pm Sunday through Thursday and until 10pm on Friday and Saturday. The food here is fresh and worth the price, and they never skimp on toppings (including the cheese).
Get your base cheese or Alfredo pizza for a great price, and then add onto it whatever you want. They do some very good specialty pizzas, too, of which the chicken bacon ranch and the Philly cheese steak pizzas are some of our favorites. You also want to get the Venice Veg Lover for that special vegetarian in your life. Their pasta is also nice, and if someone in your group is trying to eat healthy, try their Dinner Salad, which comes loaded with black olives and cheese.
Nardello’s
If you’re taking the family out for the day up to Mt. Pleasant, plan a visit to Nardello’s at 103 N Madison. They’re open 11am until 9pm most of the week. On Sunday, their hours are 10am until 2pm. The pizza here is incredible: hand-stretched, wood-fire cooked, and always fresh. On Saturday and Sunday, they have a great brunch menu, too.
If you’re a pineapple-on-pizza kind of person (no judgment), you have to try their Islander. It’s smoked bacon with pineapple, a three-cheese blend, jalapenos, and a spicy cilantro pesto that really makes this pie special. We also love the Hog Hunter, which is all the pork products (including a great Spanish chorizo) with sweet pappadews, smoked provolone, and mozzarella. Be sure to at least consider their desserts, too.
All these spots are worth trying, so next time you have a craving, pop the family in the Dodge Durango and head over to one of these spots. If you need a new Durango, or the best service on your Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or RAM, come see us today at Camp County Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.
